Hosting shouldn't need a DevOps degree
Putting a small site or app online usually goes like this: make an account with a cloud host, add a card, pick a plan, pick a region, set a build command and a start command, add environment variables, wait for a build, read a build log when it fails. Then the bill arrives, and it goes up with your traffic. Some free tiers put your app to sleep when nobody's visiting, so the next visitor waits.
That's a lot of steps for a coffee shop's opening hours.
Baumeister works the other way round. You already paid for the hardware. Your computer is the server.
- Describe it, or upload what you have.
- Hit Publish. It's live at yourname.baumeister.host with HTTPS.
- No ports to open, no build pipeline, no region, no card.
Hosting on your own computer is free. You only pay if you want more than 3 web addresses.
