Every release for Windows, Mac and Baumeister servers, newest first, taken from the release notes on GitHub. Test builds are left out.
Releases that fix a security problem are marked Security fix, and the fix itself is shown in red. From the next release on, Baumeister shows these updates as a warning you can't skip. See Security.

Safety Net now keeps apps online while your computer is off, not just websites. New Project is simpler: describe your idea, then pick ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini or let Baumeister build it. Remote sign-in from your phone works again. Your plan follows your account on every linked computer, addresses move cleanly between computers, and changing your email no longer strands them. Projects are listed by last edit, and more fixes.

Simpler pricing: you pay only for addresses, and the AI is yours.
Baumeister is free with 3 .baumeister.host addresses. Lite ($6.99/month) gives you 10, and Pro ($12.99/month) gives you 50.
A domain you connect through your own Cloudflare account, or one you bought from us, is always free and never counts toward any limit. Other outside domains routed through us: 1 on Free, 5 on Lite, unlimited on Pro.
The AI assistant runs on your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI (Grok) or Google (Gemini). Your provider bills you directly and we add nothing on top. Existing Assistant Pro subscribers keep their assistant until they cancel.
Also in this release:
Windows users on 1.2.5 or earlier: install this version once by hand. Download it from baumeisterprivateserver.com and run it; your projects and settings stay as they are. Older versions can't accept this update automatically. From 1.2.7 on, updates install themselves again.
Windows (10 or 11, 64-bit, signed) and macOS (Apple silicon). Private Server boxes update to 1.2.7 from this release too.

Pick a domain you already bought, from a list.
When you point a domain at a project, the domains on your Baumeister account now appear in a list — nothing to type, and nothing to connect first. Domains already in use are listed too, marked with the project using them, so a domain you paid for never looks like it has vanished.
Also in this release:
macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows.

Link this computer to your Baumeister account.
Settings now has a panel that connects this machine to the account that owns it, so your computer and your sites are recognised as yours in one place.
Also in this release:
macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows.
13 Aug 2026 · On GitHub
Security fix for two-step sign-in.
Starting a two-step sign-in setup and not finishing it used to destroy the two-step sign-in you already had, along with your saved backup code — silently. The next time you needed either one, you were locked out with nothing explaining why.
A new setup is now only a candidate until your authenticator proves it works. Nothing that already works is replaced until then.
Also in this release:
macOS (Apple Silicon) only. Windows to follow in this same release.

Baumeister Desktop 1.2.2 — Windows (64-bit)
The first Windows release. The same software as the Mac version, running on a PC:
your projects run on your own machine and are reachable at a baumeister.host address
through a Cloudflare tunnel.
Checking on this computer from your phone now actually works. Turn it on in
Settings and this computer starts sending its vital signs — how hard the processor is
working, how much memory and storage are in use, and which of your projects are
running. In 1.2.1 that panel never finished loading: the code that fills it in was left
out of the page by a template mistake, so it sat at "Checking…" and stayed there.
Nothing was wrong with the reporting itself, and nothing about how it works has changed
— this computer sends readings out, nothing reaches back in, and none of your files or
logs ever leave.
A new End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy. Both documents have been
replaced. The new agreement covers self-hosted software, the Cloudflare tunnel and
Assistant Pro, rather than the earlier framing around a single-board computer; it
changes the limitation of liability; and it adds a section setting out who is
responsible for personal data your site collects from its visitors. That responsibility
is yours, because that data sits on your machine and never reaches us. The Privacy
Policy is rewritten around the same self-hosted model.
You will be asked to agree once more. Because those two documents changed
materially, the agreement screen appears again the next time you open Baumeister, even
if you have used it before — an agreement to the earlier text is not an agreement to
this one. The Terms of Service are unchanged. Both documents are now readable any time
from Settings → Legal, and they are installed alongside the app, so they open with no
internet connection.

Signed with an SSL.com EV Code Signing certificate issued to Baumeister Private Server,
Inc., and countersigned by SSL.com's timestamping authority so the signature remains
valid after the certificate expires.
Windows may still show a SmartScreen warning the first few times ("More info → Run
anyway"). Reputation is built per certificate and this is a new one; the signature
itself is genuine, and you can confirm it before running from right-click → Properties
→ Digital Signatures.
Requires 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Installing over an earlier version replaces the app
and keeps all your sites, settings and documents.

Baumeister Desktop 1.2.1 — macOS (Apple Silicon)
Check on this computer from your phone. Turn it on in Settings and this computer
starts sending its vital signs — how hard the processor is working, how much memory
and storage are in use, and which of your projects are running — so you can see them
in the Baumeister app anywhere, including on your phone.
It is read-only. You can look; you cannot start or stop anything remotely. That is
deliberate: remote control of a machine is a different and much larger security
question, and this release does not open it.
Two things about how it works, because they are the reason it is safe:
door into your machine, and no queue that a command could arrive through.
passwords from your Environment variables, so they are not part of this at all — they
stay here and are read on this computer's own Server page, as before. What leaves is
a handful of numbers.
It uses its own separate credential, kept in your macOS Keychain, and turning the
feature off discards it. Websites showing files from this computer are unaffected
either way — those are separate and stay separate.
When this computer is off, asleep, or offline it simply stops reporting, and the app
says so rather than showing you a stale number.

Baumeister Desktop 1.2.0 — macOS (Apple Silicon)
Connect a website to your own computer. You can now link a Baumeister website
to a collection of documents on this machine, and unlink it again. Setting it up
happens here on your computer — the pairing screens are local-only and never
reachable over the internet — and you confirm each connection in the page rather
than in a browser pop-up. Disconnecting really disconnects: the credential for
that site stops working immediately.
One simple AI allowance on Pro. Pro used to split your allowance into 300
"standard" plus 10 "premium" messages, with a model picker and a Basic/Premium
toggle. Nobody wanted to ration that, so it is gone. Pro is now 300 AI messages a
month on one model, resetting on the 1st. Nothing to choose and nothing to set up.
Free AI for a verified email. If you have no Pro subscription and no API key
of your own, you no longer hit a dead end. Verify your email in Assistant settings
and we cover a small amount of assistant time each week, free — no card, no
subscription. Your own API key still works and is still unlimited.
You stay signed in across restarts. Sessions were written to disk but never
read back, so every restart signed you out — including every automatic update.
Fixed. A step-up security prompt is deliberately NOT restored: proof that you were
present should not outlive the app that asked for it.
Your API key moves into the macOS Keychain. If you use your own Anthropic or
OpenAI key, it was stored in the app's database in plain text. It now lives in
your login Keychain and the database keeps only a placeholder; existing keys are
moved automatically the first time this version reads one, and the old copy is
erased from the file. On Windows and Raspberry Pi this is still pending.
Update and install integrity. Notarization now happens as part of the build
rather than afterwards. Two consequences: the automatic-update download is
correctly ticketed for the first time (previous releases shipped it unstapled),
and the update manifest now describes the exact files published rather than
pre-stapling copies of them.

Fixes a security problem in how Baumeister answered requests from the internet.
What was wrong: on 1.0.0, someone who could reach your server's public address could get into your dashboard without your password and without your 6-digit code. This release closes that, and remote access now genuinely requires the code.
After you update, open Settings → Remote Access. If you see "Your remote address needs reconnecting", click Reconnect now. Your address does not change, and the sites you are hosting are unaffected.
1.0.0 cannot update itself — it shipped pointing at a private feed and without the file macOS updates need. Download and install this one by hand; from here on, updates will offer themselves and let you pick the moment.
Your projects, settings, tunnel and web address all carry over untouched.
